The Love INC Clearinghouse

When a community has no Love INC, people in need
may wander from church to church, not knowing where
to find help. Also, when churches do not communicate
with each other about the needs they are meeting,
it becomes possible for individuals to take advantage
of churches by requesting money and other assistance
that they may not really need.
The Clearinghouse is the heart of Love INC, helping
churches help people. Volunteers from our different
partner churches take calls from people in need in our
central phone-in clearinghouse. Calls are referred
to the clearinghouse by churches, by local agencies,
and by members of the community.
Each caller is first blessed with the opportunity
to tell their story, and to be heard with love,
without judgment, and with an ear toward identifying
some of the underlying causes of their situation.
Before help is offered, each call and each need is
verified with a third party so that resources can be
maximized and wisely utilized. Once verified, a caller
and their need can be connected with church programs,
local agencies, and individual volunteers from our
network churches. Many times, a caller has more than
one need, or several layers of need. A community of
churches with Love INC at the center is able to share
the responsibility of helping that person move their
life forward ... In the Name of Christ.
